I wanted to give the kids a pretty but playful table. I started with a roll of kraft paper and two little jars filled with crayons. The white dishes are my go to dishes for entertaining. You can buy them in sets of 12 from Pottery Barn. They make the food look so good! I added a smaller plate in a tan color, napkins filled with my Grandmother's flatware. I tied them with vintage seam binding and a leaf leftover from my wreath. I hand stamped tags with the word "blessings". It was an easy choice looking over my stamps since the kids are such blessings to us. I wrapped an old jar in linen ribbon I got from sweet Kristen's shop and added a few fresh flowers to mimic my color scheme. I used my old sheet music trick & outlined it with a sharpie. Lastly, I sprinkled some of the acorns I collected to keep the table informal.
I hit another snag with the shutter project. The black didn't adhere well, even to the primed side. Before I throw them to the curb (just kidding!) I'm going to try to spray them which I wanted to avoid but it seems like my last option. We are expecting a day near 60 this week so I'm hoping my last ditch effort will work.
Thank you to those of you who voted for me on Picket Fences I've moved up quite nicely! There are some really cute blogs there to check out too!
Well, have a wonderful Sunday my friends. Thank you so much for all your kind comments, support and your visits it really does mean a lot to me!
